I thought about it, but according to my rep (who emailed me at 7:30 on a Saturday morning after ghosting me all week?) the general rule is that the COPR and Cit Cert should have the same name. I don’t know what to do or if I care to have it changed. I’d love for it to be in my married name but...

I did, and submitted multiple IDs with my new name plus my marriage certificate and an updated US passport with my new name. My affirmation of oath form and all communication to me has been addressed in my married name. Seems to just be an oversight.

Thank you for your reply! I was told that the certificate is issued in the name on the COPR, and you can have the Citizenship cert updated to a new name but it’s not necessary now as the passport office will accept name change documents to support a different name on your citizenship...

Having issues getting my e-certificate. Seems that my representative doesn’t understand how to access it through his portal. (It’s connected to his email because that is the one in my application). He was on holiday the weekend after my ceremony, no biggie, it takes a few days to get anyway...

I just completed the oath, my ceremony took exactly 2 hours with 149 participants from 30 countries. It was wonderful to look around and see people of so many backgrounds. We are ALL Canadians! What a wonderful feeling.

Yeah buddy! Call them if you don’t get the email 6 days before but I have my oath on the 1st and just got my email yesterday so I bet it’s coming soon!

I got the download email from the registrar/cit team and the oath email from the office.
