That's an awful long wait for just amendment. I had to leave after 1 month of waiting, and surprisingly my amended study permit arrived just a week after I left lol. You need to call CIC and ask them what is going on with your process, amendment should be between 3 to 5 weeks.

There is no such thing as visa stamping status. If CIC request's your passports, then you are approved. All you can do is track when your passport is delivered to CIC, when it is dispatched from CIC, and when it arrives back to your local Aramex office.
