I'm not in priority processing. My NOC is for IT and Business Management occupations. I'm surprised and impressed with the speed so far at the Federal level. Will see how much longer I get to wait after the medicals.

Congrats! You are 75% through with the process with the CSQ in hand. I also got the CSQ back in February, and submitted Federal in March. Recently received an email from Federal with the AOR and Medical Request. They indicated that my file was being processed by CPP - Ottawa. I never heard of...

Quebec CSQ Applicants in the USA

Just to update the forum that I received a CSQ today. I did not get any interview invitation. I suspect it is because I sent in results of a French test that I scored pretty high on. Post any questions you may have, and I'll respond. It took exactly one year to get it, so be patient if you just...

I think CIC is proving us wrong on all the theories and speculations. I'll suggest we just share information as we hear from them on our various applications, and as they release official news. No need to make folks unnecessarily nervous with theories. I'm sure we are all beginning to see that...

It depends on the visa office and your status in that country. Some visa offices will issue the visa valid for the validity of your passport. I heard something in the news that Indian business men and woman will soon be getting 5 years multiple entries into Canada too. Yes, you can indeed get it...

The FSW application does not impact a tourist visa application. I applied for FSW, and recently also applied and received a 5 years tourist visa.

Since none of us works with CIO or have direct contact with someone who works there, I'll not rule this out as unbelievable. With CIO, anything is possible, so give Satish the benefit of the doubt.

To say the 1122 do not qualify for Quebec is not true. Quebec has a preferred list for priority processing, but will welcome anyone with the education and work experience from fields not on their preferred list.

I'll suggest you try the Quebec route if you really want to move to Canada. They don't have a restricted list of occupations.

St John's is a city in the province of NL (Newfoundland and Labrador). That is where I hope to live when I move to Canada. My application was received and signed for by DOUG since it was sent through DHL. I did not receive an email from CIO. I just noticed on my Credit Card that CIC charged...

No offense, but I think this assessment is very flawed. We are all anxious to see ourselves advancing to the next stage, but that does not justify unreasonable speculations that can cause panic. 8)

CIC has updated the numbers of complete applications received so far. 1122 is currently at 52. Way below what we were all thinking. I guess they mean actual complete applications after the completion check. Give me 5 stars for this breaking news update ;)...
