Both my daughters did thumb impressions at the time of submission. The elder one was 9 years at the time of application. BLS is inconsistent. That is why it helps, to be in person so that you can offer an explanation right then and there.

That can be a big source of confusion. You go there expecting to collect and they don't have it, because they posted it to your mailing address.

Not sure of the pick-up - But I can give some context around delivery from my experience - I received the documents at my end, a day after the status changed to ready to dispatch on the BLS website, given both days were working days. This has been true for both Surrender certificate and now, OCI.

If you mean that the OCI has been received at the Vancouver office post processing, then you should be able to recieve it in a week or so. That is if you selected postal service not pickup. Our date was 5th Oct - We just recieved the OCI cards today.

I received the OCI cards for all 3 of us 5 minutes ago, at home, delivered from Purolator. Total time take from applying to delivery (30 Aug - 11th Oct): 42 days. Thanks everyone for your assistance. I will give back by assisting on any queries I can on this channel, going forward.

Status on the BLS website shows - "Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping". Not sure what this means. Anyone know?

For me, 2 applications have only processed date, 1 application has all 3 dates (same dates)

Yes, it should be. You will also be asked to fill the ref no. and the date of application. My daughter also got her OCI 2 years ago.

My youngest daughter had held her OCI for 2 years before we applied, hence I marked yes to this question. However, I would suggest that you mark no, since you have not received your OCI, and there are only two options, neither of which are applicable to you.
