PR Card arrival time line thread

I didn't notice a PR card time line in this section (or haven't noticed?) So I thought I can share mine to help others get an idea. Current processing time states 41 days. Landed October 18, 2016. Card arrived in my mailbox November 24. About 37 days. No issue about photo sizes. It was a...

Having no status in canada and criminal charge

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. You should probably search up immigration/criminal lawyers and see what they can suggest you to do. Do you plan on getting some sort of residency? You've been 'visiting' Canada for 5 years? You can always argue that you were obediently serving your...

    Copr / land border crossing

Yes you can change to a PR resident at the land border. I did mine in Niagara Falls, spent the day there and drove back to Canada and just like that, became a PR. Be sure to bring her CoPR and passport

Can my fiance enter canada on a tourist Visa?

Almost anyone can visit Canada with proper travel documents unless he had been ordered to leave Canada in the past which can raise questions at customs. I don't see what the problem is.

    Cannot get SIN after flagpoling

That is very unusual. I did a landing last week and got SIN the next day. Call CIC first and see if they can pull up her current status. If CIC says it's all good then the ball's on Service Canada's court.

JANUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

What I can assume based on that e-mail is that it's going to take longer than December to process the application. But yes I agree they didn't really state a clear reason why. You can ask in another e-mail but honestly I'd start getting ready to prepare for new meds

JANUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Send Ottawa an e-mail that's what you got to do. Normally it takes 1.5-2 weeks for them to process it based on my experience and others in this forum so in your case they might contact you next week. Better let them know about your medicals. Keep us posted!

Passports to CPC Ottawa - September 2016

Oh okay. But if I were to drive to the US with my own car then it's okay? Just show them the COPR paper and passport when I get back to Niagara Falls?

Passports to CPC Ottawa - September 2016

You're not allowed to fly with a paper PR? Is it because you need a visa to enter Canada? I thought once you get the paper you can fly in and out of Canada just as if you have the PR Card?

JANUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

His health check up must be valid until the day he gets approved and LANDS in Canada. If the process takes longer than December 9 then his whole application expires and he has to re-apply all over again and pay the same fees. I'm guessing one possibility is they need more time to process his...

Passports to CPC Ottawa - September 2016

Maybe they haven't been updated yet? Either way you got approved so I wouldn't worry about that. If they need more documents they'll ask you for them. I'd say you're in :)

Passports to CPC Ottawa - September 2016

Better not to go on weekends or long holidays. I went there at 7pm last night and still had to wait an hour. I walked up to the immigration officers and asked what's taking so long and apparently those 'landing' or working or studying in Canada are in low priority compared to all other matters...

JANUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Yes. Hopefully they reply back asap. Good luck with your application! Worst case I'd try to appeal their decision if they rejected your application based on this.

JANUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Holy..send them an e-mail urging them about this...I'd be sending them 10 e-mails a day until they respond. In my case I received my CoPR today and went right to Niagara Falls border. Waited an hour to be served. It was not as quick as people have mentioned here but it is done. Best of luck to...

I sure hope you're right. Nothing in the mail tonight. I'll be more relieved than laughing. I'll have to give CPP Ottawa an e-mail if I don't get anything tomorrow morning.

Canada Post and my CoPR xpresspost letter

Last Thursday afternoon CPP Ottawa approved my PR application and sent it Thursday evening via Xpresspost. Hoping that it will arrive Friday it didn't. Okay, fair enough. It was Thursday evening so I understand. Most likely Monday then (today). This morning I checked my tracking number and...
