    Inland Spousal Sponsorship August 2020

From what I was reading, you likely won't have to give biometrics again. It's payable online, so I wouldn't fret. If you get the letter, then pay. Otherwise let it ride. They're not even open for biometrics, but I've heard they are contacting people from back in March to make appointments...

    Inland Spousal Sponsorship August 2020

Hey all, is there a WhatsApp group for August? The link on the google sheet, inland August 2020 spreadsheet sends one to March 2020, not August...

    Inland Spousal Sponsorship August 2020

Yeah, as I updated above, we shouldn't have even needed the biometrics anyways.... we paid the PR fee, and we paid for both my spouse + dependant.... not willing to take the risk of not doing what they want, regardless of their duplicity....

    Inland Spousal Sponsorship August 2020

Oddly, when we check the "do you need to give biometrics", it says that it isn't required. (Spouse is from USA). In addition to them saying all biometrics services are indefinitely closed, and it won't affect the application. Regardless, we paid the fee, and will wait.... We were unable to...

    Inland Spousal Sponsorship August 2020

Us too! We haven't received AOR yet, but just received the biometric letter minutes ago. Application sent 8/3, received 8/6. Good news is that it had an application number on it - which means they must have done something for the application, I'm thinking. Going to go read up on the boards...

    Application returned - holes punched

While I agree with the cautious sentiment, they're the ones who put the holes in it in the first place. LOL And it wasn't due to the quality of what I submitted, they said I was missing documents. I will probably redo it anyways, however I thought to ask the question of those more experienced.

    Rejected Ontario Marriage Certificate

This actually isn't my first time doing this, and I submitted the exact same thing as last time.... it was what was sent to me when I requested proof of marriage! Indeed it was the long form. *sigh* if there's a separate thing, I'll go get that if it will make them happy. Thanks for letting...

    Application returned - holes punched

HI all - my initial application to sponsor my wife and her son was rejected (see other thread). We had gotten AOR1. It looks like all of the documents now have a single hole punched in it (like a 3 hole punch, but more random, and only one). Do I need to reprint the entire stack fresh, or...

    Rejected Ontario Marriage Certificate

Hi all. I got my application sent back for two reasons: We didn't include the FBI Check for "all dependents over 18" - as he wasn't 18 at the time we applied They saw the words "Marriage License" on the official copy of the marriage certificate. Those of us married in Ontario, know that the...

    JANUARY 2020 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Question for those "in the know"... here in Windsor (border crossing), some of the agents think that you're "in the system" only once AOR is received... others say that you're "in" before the AOR. Inquiries to the agents at IRCC have proved fruitless, nobody seems to know the process. They...

    JANUARY 2020 *OUTLAND* SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

I sent mine via FedEx from Ontario the same day (16th). However, the big snowstorm that hit the maritimes (especially Newfoundland) meant nothing got delivered on the 17th. I would expect a similar delay from Canada post.

Live in Canada, Work in USA, Sponsorship Eligibility

Understood. There were other reasons for us applying inland, but to be honest I don't recall - it was two years ago. But that's the path that we took.

Live in Canada, Work in USA, Sponsorship Eligibility

If we lived in the US, then that would have been the option we followed. However I already owned a home and have kids, etc. in Windsor - I've never permanently lived in the US. She didn't have a place of her own in the US. We've already been in process for two years or so, and granted - it...

Live in Canada, Work in USA, Sponsorship Eligibility

Yes, we're aware that she is not guaranteed re-entry into Canada, it's stated right on her record. However not only do most of the agents know us quite well by now, they've been the ones to tell us exactly the process we should be following. We actually had more scrutiny when dating cross...

Live in Canada, Work in USA, Sponsorship Eligibility

Hi RocketCity... I'm your hypothetical scenario. :) My wife and I live in Windsor, my American wife is going through the Inland process. Both of us work in Michigan. We commute back and forth daily. In general, what screech said is true - to keep US PR, you need to live in the US. However...
