I don't think there would be an issue, just prolly let them know you're getting a new one. Mine is also expiring on August 2018, but haven't got my PPR yet and might be coming pretty soon. So planning on renewing mine on Monday.

Yes :( I keep checking everything, ecas, cic account, email.. and nothing. The waiting is so painful and depressing. :( Yes hopefully they will speed it up! Seriously considering EE if this takes tooooo long.
