FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

It would depend on when that address change was. If it was after they started processing it, I would imagine it would stay in Ottawa and they would just send the mail to the relevant country. Have you ordered your notes yet? It might be worth getting them to check what is going on.

FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. If it was sent out the same day as ours, I imagine that it would be already at or across the border. I also get the impression that Ottawa seems to do a lot of it's processing for spouse visas on Thursdays. Even if it was send out last week, it should make it...

    spousal open work permit

I think to have this question answered, you would need to provide more details. - Is this an inland spouse application, an outland spouse application or a temporary work permit? - You mentioned that you applied online. Did you apply through http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp?

Need to send Passport to ottawa, worried about impending canada post strike

Maybe call CIC and see if they might work with a Fedex prepaid return setup? The potential postal strike looks like it won't be a fast solution. One of the articles even has the audacity to say that Canada post want to eliminate the home delivery service. It sounds like a giant mess at the...

FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

BrettyMac in January, DBHC and nique. The longest time between AOR2 and decision is 96 days (November) since Ottawa started to speed up. Those applications with document requests were between 60 to 96 days. So it shouldn't be too much longer. In the recent past, the document request...

I am not sure which VO you are going through, but I have found checking out the Nov-Jan spreadsheets have been super helpful in giving ideas of processing times with document requests as well. Good luck! :)

FEBRUARY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I held a work permit and lived in Canada for more than 6 months. My maiden name was also a very common last name as well, which may also be a reason why the check was requested.
