I'm sponsoring my wife, we received today an email asking for a "copy of the passport" I'm wondering if that means the original passport

Hi there, Question, in what I think is the PPR, the Mexico office is asking, for a copy of the letter, photographs and also a COPY OF THE PASSPORT. Do you know what they mean by copy of the passport? I was expecting them to request the original passport, or maybe do they mean the original one...

Congrats on the good news! I think PGR certificates takes a maximum of ten days to get issued, for my wife it took four days. Good to know that things are moving on the MVO

I'm finally meeting my Mp on Thursday, I'll keep you posted. My wife's police certificates were sent to the embassy by mid/late May.

I'm meeting with my MP one of these days and see if he can call the embassy. My wife is also with me at Canada and I'm wondering if that could be an issue to cause the delay...

We applied by August 2015, I was approved as a sponsor on Oct-2015, AOR 1 Feb 2016, AOR2 May 2016.

I received AOR2 in May. My process length was very similar than the average except for the part after we sent the police certificates, it's taking so long after that to hear anything. I asked for the notes couple weeks ago. I'll keep you guys posted on what is going on.

Same here, My wife sent her police certificates by mid May and nothing since then. We sent an email to the embassy and they said that they are processing it and ask us to be patient. Our process is getting close to a year and medical exams are expiring in October. We are still waiting for notes...

Yes, CIC received our application on August, 2015 too :) Hopefully they ask for our passports soon

I also receive the PGR request back in May 12th. PGR certificate was sent two weeks later and we didn't hear anything since then. Seems to me that they process the files in big blocks. Hopefully we hear something soon. Good luck and best wishes :)

Hi TANMEX, I think your process and mine has a similar timing. How much time passed between you sent you police certificates and the embassy asked you for your passport? My wife sent her police certificates by May 20th and we didn't hear nothing since then. Thank you for the help!

Hello, my wife received the request for police certificates on May 12th, The embassy received the certificates on May 23rd, but we didn't receive nothing since then. does anybody know how much time does it takes from police certificates request to passport request/interview? Thank you

We got our AOR2 on Feb 8 and last week we got the letter requesting police certificates. You should be receiving that one soon.
