if you have time constraint and you need your OCI sooner, I would suggest that go in person and Apply. I applied through mail and there was some problem in my application, they returned it (which is now cost for one return and one re-send), plus it wasted more than 2 weeks of time. Having that...

hopefully you would get it tomorrow.. usually takes 2 weeks. for me, it took 18 days though.. 4th Aug in person submission in Brampton. ACK on 22nd Aug

when is your travel date? and if you know the timeline for entry visa? i have my travel date in 1st week of October.. and applied OCI 4th Aug. not sure if i would get by then..

I am on the same boat as you.. I applied for OCI in person in BLS-Brampton. No acknowledgement as yet on OCI website. do you or anyone here know if what is average timeline for acknowledgement as yet on OCI website?

I applied in person on 4th Aug in Brampton.. still no records on OCI site. BLS site says "processing at consulate" :(
