I received a 1 year open permit, which I believe is standard unless you have an LMIA or PNP. It was dated from the day it was approved, so a year starting February 9th 2017.

My BOWP was approved February 9th and we received our visas in the post on February 15th, so it took 6 days for us. We are in BC.

Thanks Tala! Our application changed to 'Approved' in CIC today, so I hope that means our photos/etc are all okay ;D and on top of that we received our bridging visas which I guess we didn't need after all!

Does anyone know how long (roughly) it takes to go from PPR > COPR? I submitted my passport copies/photos/etc to Ottawa and they were received yesterday morning. I'm CEC inland. Just wondering how much is left in the process at this stage :)

As I thought they might, our bridging visas were approved even though we received our PPR and probably won't be needing them. Oh well! I'm assuming there's no way to get a refund after approval?

Hi Ruby, my application process was much the same as yours! Didn't get any update for medicals, then an email with request for updated travel info for my spouse and I. Still haven't figured out why they needed our travel info again but apparently this is normal.
