It sounds like Halifax processes the application and then it gets passed on to Charlottetown to schedule the test & citizenship ceremonies.

Strange....mine started off in Halifax & then was transferred to Charlottetown when the office opened in August.

Sorry for your situation. I know it is frustrating. Tomorrow will be the 5th local ceremony (for us) that we haven’t been invited to....even though we have been oath ready for over 5 months and keep being told “without a doubt, you will be invited to the next one”:(

I passed my test in August & my son’s still shows in process. The call centre said that was normal and would remain like that until the oath ceremony.

Hi there....I noticed you were in the Charlottetown area also. I was seeing if you had any additional updates since your test? My application is from Nov. 2018, test passed on Aug 29 & oath ready since first week of September....still waiting on oath invite though. Thanks!!

Your daughter will stay as “in process” until you receive your invitation to citizenship ceremony. Not sure why they do it that way, but they do:)

They ask for your UCI number, full name, birthday, birth country, address & will verify your email & phone number.

I think it really depends on your local office and how long it takes to verify any travel/etc that couldn’t be done at the interview. I passed my test Aug. 29, had decision made status the 2nd week of September & am still waiting for ceremony invitation. Good luck with your application!!

I’m not sure I can answer that. Is it fair that someone with the exact same type application that I have was processed and completed in 10 months at the recently re-opened office in Charlottetown....while my application was started in Halifax, then transferred to Charlottetown when the office...

Has anyone else been successful attending a ceremony outside of their local area? I’ve been waiting for an invite since early September & asked if I could attend a ceremony in Halifax (about 3.5 hours away). IRCC told me that they couldn’t change my location until I have received an invitation...

I am past the 12 month mark....I have called the number. On the web form, I requested specifically that it be forwarded to the local office, but the reply was a standard (generic) answer of you are “oath ready” and will be invited at a future time.

So I’ve been “oath ready” since early September. They have had 4 local ceremonies & I’m still waiting. Since you are past the 12 month mark, you can call the IRCC number & ask them to send an internal message to your local office asking them to please expedite your file. May or may not help...
