I have a question - it says that the sponsor will receive a permanent resident kit which needs to be forwarded to the parents being sponsored. My question is has anyone received that yet and approx. how long after you received your email that you qualified as a sponsor did it come?

Thats correct. Stage 1 is to evaluate you as a sponsor. Stage 2 evaluate the person your parent/s. Also the file was transferred to Ottawa because you had put a Canadian address for your parent/s. Is this correct?

I just received notification from CIC that our application as sponsor is approved. The application for Permanent Residence has been sent to Pretoria (South Africa) April 26, 2016. :D

Hi All, We applied Jan 2014, application reached CIC Jan 6, 2014. Got a acknowledgement June 2014 and application has been in process Mar 3, 2016. Sure do hope we hear something in the next batch.
