If you live in Canada as PR for 3 years but without a job, can you apply for citizenship?

If one did not have a job/income for 3 years (and wasn't taking care of one's kids), then how would they prove their physical presence in Canada for citizenship ? or even PR renewal purposes ?

Re-entering Canada without PR card after a short visit to US

Hey there.....I have not 're-entered' Canada via US yet, so can't comment on my experience. But I was actually told at time of my short landing by the officer who stamped my COPR, that the COPR is valid for re-entry if i return by road (obviously using 'private vehicle'), at least for first...

Hey there, I have received PPR after going through the process with New York - VAC (CSC) and can help here. I agree, the instructions are a bit confusing but CSC NY VAC was helpful to answer my questions via email. It seems this CSC VAC has only recently started processing for PR/COPR and...

Express Entry - e-APR Submitted in November 2016

Hi Sammoe, i believe there is one exception.... if one is returning from US via road (in personal/rental car i.e. 'private vehicle') to Canada, then PRTD is not mandatory. Instead the same signed COPR (used for initial landing) can be re-used for entering without PR card in hand second time...

Re-entering Canada without PR card after a short visit to US

Hi Leon, Do you think re-entering with COPR and Passport will work if i plan to return by road (rental car) from US, lets say '6 months' after initial landing in Canada ? i.e. would i still be considered a 'new PR who hasn't gotten my PR card' (as you mentioned above) Secondly, on the CIC...

You are correct. It's a specific legal issue with Indian passports ONLY - not for everyone (could be other countries also, but none i know of). The courier companies will deliver it - as you said, but easier to get it changed to a local VO through requesting and then ship locally.
