In short Yes, since you are on a temporary SIN (which begins with 9) which has an expiry date in tandem with your work permit expiry. you would need to re-new you SIN number by going to the nearest Service Canada

If the Security is Blank, it usually means that the security check has been completed. Its just a matter of time for you to receive your PPR

My Background Check went into Progress today for the second time

The Last Activity update for Security was on 06th July 2016 and the status is Not Started.... More Worryingly the due date for Security Check completion is showed as 1 year from the start date

just received my 2nd GCMS notes today and guess what the Security still shows as not started, Its been 2 months since everything was completed and nothing has changed. I am a bit frustrated :-[

Hello Seniors, My Work permit expires on January 2017. I am planning on Applying for my BOWP even though there is a possibility of me getting my PPR before that just to be on the safe side. Any suggestions?
