It takes 3 months (2.5 if lucky). If you have LMIA do flagpoling and get your WP on the spot.

I have similar situation. But I am already in Canada so my baby will be canadian citizen by default. So doesnt apply to me. But for you i believe you should update CIC by phone or email.

I believe, CIC processes a bunch of application in 3 weeks period. Every 3rd week, they pick a bunch of applications change the status to "In Progress" and at the end of the three weeks they send PPRs. The 3rd week of our lot should be ending by this weekend. We all should have our PPR by end...

Yeh. I wasn't expecting it before 2 months, but it was quick. Yours will also be approved within 6 to 8 weeks. It is good to attach a cover letter requesting urgent need of the permit.

Anna, your BOWP was processed very fast, not sure what superpower you have that we dont possess!! My BOWP also got approved, it was paper application though. My paper application reached on 25th Feb and It got approved on 15th April.
