Will they request proof of spouse's work history (zero CRS points)?

Immigration Consultant here. No: include it in the personal history but not in work history because, as you mentioned, they get no points for it and so all it does is unnecessarily create more documentation.

    Spousal sponsorship

Just an update on this in case it helps anyone else. I submitted an inquiry, and as of today (July 31), they (inland sponsorship office) are currently processing applications received before January 17th, 2020. Seems like processing times have been extended significantly.

Has anyone recently filed an inland sponsorship? It has been over 6 weeks and we still haven't received confirmation or any word that processing has begun. I am assuming it is because of Covid?

Additionally, her file number is V3220*****. Doesn't the V indicate a visit visa? Which again makes me wonder why they are referring to study permits.

Visit Visa refused for IRPR 216(1), which applied to study permits !?!

Hello, A colleague's visit visa to Canada was refused recently, owing to several reasons. Three reasons stood out, however: they referred to section 216(1) of the IRPR which refers to the issuance of study permits. The last reason explicitly says the officer doubted her capacity to pay for her...
