Exporting a Vehicle from the U.S. and Importing into Canada: Complete Step-by-Step Guide

I've blacked out my personal info but as you can see this form does not indicate that any modifications were needed and if they are to be done before I bring it to inspection, I'm assuming they would have checked the daytime running lights box.

Exporting a Vehicle from the U.S. and Importing into Canada: Complete Step-by-Step Guide

They don't care as long as I have the letter from my bank and the certified copy of the title. I doubt I would be able to get this far without someone mentioning any issues with that.

Exporting a Vehicle from the U.S. and Importing into Canada: Complete Step-by-Step Guide

Yes as I mentioned my husband's Canadian purchased Ford f150 has literally the same exact options as my car. He purchased his truck when he was living in Edmonton, so maybe Alberta doesn't have this requirement and Ontario isn't going to make someone go get it fixed if it was purchased in Canada?

They did not say that the daytime running lights would be an issue... But I have a 2014 Ford escape se 4wd that has the same headlight options as...

Exporting a Vehicle from the U.S. and Importing into Canada: Complete Step-by-Step Guide

So by some miracle (also having a great local credit union and we're already very close to Canada [Vermont] so they see this all the time) I was granted permission from my bank to take my car into Ontario. I have the letter and a certified copy of the title coming to me by mail. We're not moving...

Here's the skinny. My husband who is a Canadian citizen will be applying for sponsorship for me through the inland program. (We already know this is the choice for us and we know how long it will take but with the pilot program offering the open work permit we couldn't refuse it!) I have not...
