Next time I suggest doing the paper application. I'm not an expert and I'm only sharing a point of view. I applied online and after 60 days nothing. A colleague at work did the paper one and was fine within the stipulated processing time. Does this mean this is the rule or norm? I do not know...

I propose that if you can land for a month or two, assess that market for jobs and if you're persuaded stay on. Leaving your job immediately may not be the best idea. Come and get a feel before you move. After all once you land you have some time to return to meet your residency obligations .

I can't say specifically about Quebec but I'm a federal applicant and my Bachelor's and Masters are in different fields. My application is approved. I don't see why not. I also have a friend who had an undergraduate in engineering and a master's in Finance and she is a landed PR. All the best.
