yeah, he just got the one text when it was sent and that was it. only RM6 though so not a huge loss. His passport was dropped off in KL at the end of the work day on the 16th, and we received it back on the 28th, visa is stamped as being issued on the 18th!

So from what i've seen, the final decision flips to approved when they actually put the visa in the passport. I'm only assuming this because we got that same status update as ImABule on the same day the visa was stated as issued on my husband's passport. CDNinHH, i don't think that would mean...

Thanks ImABule! I keep checking ticket prices. Last Tues there was one thru guangzhou and Toronto leading from kl and landing in ottawa for only 630 CAD one way. Today the price for the same flight is 730 which still isn't bad. It's just picking a date at this point.
