Just thought I'd update; on May 17th I received an Email for my "final permanent resident interview", which is scheduled for May 30th...this would be the landing interview, correct? After this interview is when I would receive DM (decision made)?

I think it's moving so fast because I submitted both my police clearance certificates upfront & my medical upfront. I'm applying for Manitoba.

Ah okay - I got an "applicant eligibility passed" Email yesterday but my sponsor is still waiting on word of sponsor approval :(

Can someone please explain what AIP (approval in principle) is, exactly? If someone has AIP does that mean sponsor approval + applicant eligibility passed?

October 23rd. I also submitted my FBI & RCMP police certificates upfront as well as my medical, which could be a large part of why my application is processing quicker than others.

Hey! I'm an October 2017 applicant. I just got "eligibility passed". Does that mean my sponsor is also approved? Or is that something separate?

Just got my OWP in the mail today, it was approved on April 10th. Also just had my first day of work today - life's good!

Normally once you get the "reviewing your eligibility update" you'll be approved either the same day, or the day after, and then the permit will take 3 - 5 business days to arrive in the mail.

YAY So my OWP status just changed to "We're reviewing your eligibility requirements" :D I'm a Jan 8th received date, I'd originally submitted the incorrect fee when I initially applied in October and had to mail it back to them.

Someone w/ Jan 10th received date was approved yesterday, and someone with Jan 9th approved the day prior. I'm Jan 8th and still waiting. Tell your job you'll need 2 weeks before you begin work so you can buy yourself some time for approval & mailing time. Of course, it's easier to get a job...

Awesome news! Mine was also the wrong fee, returned in December and received on Jan 8th according to MyCIC. Still nothing yet on my end, but I'll check this evening to see if the eligibility requirement line changes :) if not today, then hopefully by the end of the week!

Vegreville is the only place that actually processes the inland OWPs, when the OWP is sent to Mississauga it takes a good 11 - 15 extra days because they have to mail out your OWP to Vegreville + transit time + the time it takes for Vegreville to sort and open the mail :)

Dec 21st is the most recent one I've seen approved. Jan 8th here. Hoping for approval next week.
