Yes, I am a US Citizen and applied via Outland. I have been staying in Canada for the entire process with visitor extensions. Yes, I have already called the CIC and have my date. I chose the interview versus POE, because it is my understanding CBSA doesn't like doing it and it is easier through CIC.

Not all outland applications are done that fast. It has been 2 years this month and we filed outland with no issues, so far. No idea how much longer, maybe another few months.
