When they're done reviewing everything they'll request his passport if or when needed, they won't let you in to speak to anyone

You can still ask for an extension they may or may not do it but still request it before spending money on a new one.

There's one case a while back where they requested passport 2 weeks after the interview, hoping it's the same outcome
