Definitely illegal - there is no fee for an employer to apply for an LMIA that is for PR purposes only! Our whole PR process including CELPIP, police certificates and processing fees came to less than $5k - and that was for 4 people!

You could order them but as its only been 2 months it may not show much. I ordered my first set around 4 months after AOR but received my PPR before I got them!!

If LMIA is purely to support your PR app then no fee is required. The $1000 fee would be for PR app support AND to support a work permit application

Just sent hubby round to the mailbox after seeing this post - and our PR cards have arrived!!! Soooo excited and relieved this process is now complete. Now to wait a couple of years before starting the citizenship process :o

You need to get your SIN changed to a permanent number. With regards to your health card, you won't need to change that til near the expiry date.

Although you're original application was submitted in March, the complete app wasn't rec'd til July so your six months will start from then, I would imagine you have another few months to wait before they request the RPRF. As previous post states, CIC may ask for a retake of the medicals.

We only scanned the bio pages of each passport and it was fine. My husband had multiple stamps having travelled back and forth to Canada for 18mths along with various stamps from the Middle East and South America and we still weren't asked for copies of the pages/stamps.

You can definitely use your brothers card. We used a company credit card from my husbands HR dept and it was accepted no problem.
