    Abuse after Sponsporship

A family member (that has Citizenship) sponsored her partner from back home as common-law from outland. He got his PR in January and moved to Canada, but their relationship has been very abusive. He threatens her and often abuses her verbally. She was diagnosed with cancer and is going through a...

Dont worry about joint bank accounts (me and my husband never shared money and I am a successful PR lol) A lot of couples dont...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

You don't need to do anything for now. They will probably updated your application status online when they receive. SA and AIP usually come right after they receive the medicals (a few weeks).

I never got AIP either. I got the same letter saying my application was completed. I even thought it could have been a bad thing. I've been waiting for the landing letter in Toronto for 3 weeks, but we have the busiest office. I hope it's faster for you in Montreal. congrats!

I am so sorry to hear about that. I would try to get a lawyer involved. Since it's not your fault and you did what you could. Try to appeal or something like that. Don't give up and have faith!

Oh I see. No, their deadline is just a month that you have to do the medicals (it's like that for everybody). I did mine 2 weeks ago. It depends on how soon the Doctor's office sends the info to CIC. The sooner you do it, sooner you will have an answer.

You have to do the Medical within a month. I did 5 days after they asked for it. My Sponsor got approval 2 days ago. I got DM today and today it appeared "Medical exams received" on my application status. Every case is different right, but after Medicals ( if it's all good), then I think it's...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I've applied under Family Sponsorship in July 2014. January 11th 2016 received request for medical exams - which I completed on the 15th. Does that mean AIP is done? Does any one know how long will take to hear back from them?
