Hey Actually my husband just got his G1 license using his SL license. They did not retain his SL license. Service Ontario gave it back to him. Also bc he had licence from SL...they added one year expereince to his profile. Are you also in Ontario?

Yes they will notify you once they started processing your file in colombo visa office. Not so much when they receive it. Our process took about 14 months. You can see our time line on my profile. Hope this helps.

Hey Lav, Don't worry as long as it's updated on your GCKEY account it's good. For us it didn't update on ECAS. Just once we got PPR RECIEVED ECAS was updated to DM until then everything remained same there. But GCKEY is the one they kept updating more frequent. Hope this helps.

Hey, 1st week of October my husband was requested to do remedical. 2nd week of October he was scheduled for an interview to attend in mid november. PPR request was recieved next day after the interview.

Hey Visa is valid until medical expires. My husband did re medicals in October. His visa expires Oct 2017.

It took 2 days. We submitted it Monday this week and got it back on Wednesday.

Hey lucid 1209, I'm not sure how long it will recieve PPR after medical has been updated. But I can answer your 2nd question. For my husband the visa is valid until Oct 2017. So that's about 11 months. Hope this helps.

If they ask...I would take it as good sign. It shows some progress in processing ur application.

When my husband did last month. He didn't get any proof. It was send to cic electronically and it was updated on our account with in 2 days.

No he didn't have an interpreter. He is fluent both in tamil and English.
