Hey guys, although my certified cheque is still outstanding, my e-cas has been activated! I just checked using my UCI on CIC website and saw my dad's name under my application, status reads "application received"!

You'll need to go to a local TD branch and ask a teller to check for you. It's in their internal system.

Thank you so much delcan25. I used TD as well. Just checked with them today and my cheque is still outstanding. My application was submitted via Happyroad Express at 8:21am on 4 Jan.

Just went back from TD bank and learnt that my certified cheque was still outstanding... Guess they haven't started cashing cheques yet.

Agreed... It's so stupid that TD can't find out whether the cheque is cashed or not.

I called CIC and the agent said only the first 5000 will be processed, 5000-10k will be retained until informed later. Therefore if you've got charged now I assume you are in the first 5k.

Thanks for the info! I'll try tomorrow. Tried going to the branch where my cheque was certified as well as calling TD helpline, neither worked.

As far as I know there hasn't been any certified cheque / bank draft / money order cashed. Maybe relax for now and call your bank on Friday. Although I feel like calling my bank right now...

Just heard that someone has already received the file number. He sent out his application using happy road express, cc charged on 8 Jan. He's said it's an auto-email including his UCI, name and his parents names.

Seems that the majority of certified cheques got cashed on 20 Jan last year. I'll try calling after 20 Jan this year... Good luck to all of us!

I used a certified cheque too. Went to the counter and they said it would take days for them to track it. My friends using money orders and bank drafts haven't got charged yet. Did you use TD?

Just came back from TD, the teller said she's not able to track it but then I showed her TD Help saying otherwise. She then asked the supervisor and said that she'll call the security department and get back to me tomorrow. Same thing happened when my friend went to TD today, they created a case...

My friend and I both used certified cheque. She went to the bank to check if it was cashed and it takes the bank several working days to process her request. I am going to the bank to check after work today!
