    Application Form download

Hey everyone, Been a long time member back when I was going through my PR and now its time to do citizenship! I was hopping someone would be kind enough to send me a copy or post a copy of the application to this thread. I tried to download it off the CIC website, but I don’t have a computer...

    Filing American Taxes

Hey all! Recently just landed here in Canada. (Nov. 24. 2017) but have been living in Canada since Dec.11.2015. All of last year we didn't go back to the states at all. wanted to play it safe while the PR application was in. So Canada was for sure my tax home. Now I'm currently in a...

Leaving Canada while spousal sponsorship in process (having study permit)

I was in the same situation only I only had the study permit. I chose to avoid leaving since you can be denied entry for any reason under any visa and then we ran the risk of possibly having to end our application. So I wasn't about those chances. I'm sure you'd be fine though just like I...

Outland; Expiring Medical. Redo voluntarily or wait for request?

They do for sure extend medicals.. I got my CoPR on Nov.22, and my medicals were set to expire Dec.2. They extended my medicals until June of 2018 on my CoPR. (assuming since usually CoPR expires when your medicals do if it's far enough out.)

    Married after I got visa

You should seek professional legal advice. from what I've read on here, if you haven't claimed your spouse on your sponsorship application, then you can't sponsor them to come to Canada later on. They will have to find their own way to immigrate. but I'm sure that all depends on how you...

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

I second this. This was the drive I took to come to Seattle when I moved there. BUT don't take the I-10 through LA, bad idea. Take the 10, to the 57, to the 210 (let the 210 turn into 134) and then take the 5 all the way up. that's the quickest way without going THROUGH LA which will suck...

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Just wanted to update you guys. Officially done. Got the PR card in the mail today. of course two days after I email CIC asking where it's at. as for importing.. Plan ahead. if you OWN your car as in no lease or financed. it's FAR easier. DO NOT try and cross the border as a PR with an...

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

CoPR is fine for traveling by car over a land or sea border. I was told by the CIC agent that the stamp in my passport would suffice. it doesnt.. and I got my ass chewed out while crossing a land boarder by car.. I luckily had my CoPR in my bag cause, thank god, I'm a freak who over plans. you...

Consequences of Providing More Than 20 photos To Prove Relationship

Listen to Canuck. He knows all. We submitted 20 photos, and also submitted some social media screenshots on normal paper. I think it was 12 screenshots on two pages of paper. ..we also submitted 184 pages of text and facebook messenger history.. but we get through!

Relocating permanently after 2 years of receiving PR Card

Oh thank you for correcting me. I guess that makes sense. In my situation, I landed as a student in 2015, got residency in 2017.. so those two years will combine to one year towards my citizenship appliations and I can apply late next year for it. (apparently) But it does make sense that it...

    Clarity on PR obligations...

Sorry, just want some clarification on this myself. When you say, "any entry into Canada without meeting residency obligations risks being reported.." -does that mean when you're cutting it close to the five year mark and there aren't enough days left in your 5 years time frame to actually meet...

Relocating permanently after 2 years of receiving PR Card

Hey, They actually have a calculator online for calculating the days to see if you're good for applying for citizenship. https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/rescalc/resCalcStartNew.do As for your PR obligations, it seems like you'd be fine. since you card doesn't expire until July '20. and you plan...

    OB570 Stream.

Yeah of course, I don't really remember what it means why it's good if it hasn't started. I think from it. Eagle meant that because they aren't making any notes on it then they don't have any issues with it.
