Got PPR after just 6 weeks, is this legit?

I am not sure what's going on right now. Maybe I am dreaming. I submitted my EE application December 2nd, 2016 and I just now received an e-mail from case procesing centre in Ottawa: However, I did not receive any message on my MyCIC account and my application still says "Open" and background...

Medicals still "Not needed at this time"

Hi, I got AOR on December 2nd, 2016 but my medical's are still not passed until today. Should I be worried? We have no medical issues except my spouse has had a heart surgery when she was little but it doesn't require any expensive care whatsoever nor has it any increased risks of disease...

    Spouse Open Work permit

Hi, I got an OWP valid until August 2017 because my spouse had a work permit for skilled job. I am already working on this OWP. My spouse would like to quit her job now and go back to our home country for a few months or stay in Canada as a visitor. If she does this, is my OWP still valid until...

    Photo for Express Entry Application

Should I upload the front of the photo and the back with the stamp? Or just the front? In that case, can the picture be taken by myself if I have a professional camera?

Two positions within the same company with the same NOC

I know I can but would it be wise to split the positions now after being invited? Wouldn't it flag is as a change and cause some delays?

Two positions within the same company with the same NOC

Hi, so I have worked in two positions within my current company. One called Junior Software Developer and the other called Software Developer. I am pretty sure I can get just one reference letter for both. My question is regarding the APR. I have already got ITA and I filled just one position...

    Upfront medical type: Visitor

I searched around and found that someone was actually rejected with Non EDE / Worker because the VO thought it was for temporary workers only. But I still think it makes more sense than visitor. Appearantly, nowadays the VOs don't look at the type at all, but who knows...

    Upfront medical type: Visitor

Hi, today I went to a medical in QC and got a confirmation paper that says "Upfront medical type: Visitor." Is this wrong? I told them that I need it for Express Entry but I didn't notice they put "Visitor" there. The medical exam seemed like the one I was supposed to undergo. What can I do now?

Work experience gained while studying OUTSIDE OF CANADA

I think this question is regarding only CEC qualifying work experience, not CRS points experience.

Work experience gained while studying OUTSIDE OF CANADA

I think this is all covered automatically by the online application. I tried putting in work experience while studying OUTSIDE of Canada -> Received points for work experience and eligible for FSW I tried putting in work experience while studying INSIDE of Canada -> No points for work...

Work experience gained while studying OUTSIDE OF CANADA

From the ministerial instructions, this is all they have to say about foreign work experience: It does not mention anything about full-time studying. The full-time study is a problem only in Canadian experience where they explicitely state it. It is only applicable for that section though...

Work experience gained while studying OUTSIDE OF CANADA

While I am not sure about the full-time studying disqualifying work experience I am pretty sure you are wrong in this. See this: Work experience need not be continuous under the CEC. Applicants do not have to be employed at the time of application, but they must have temporary status during the...

Work experience gained while studying OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Shit. I think I will just give it a shot I am way to invested in this to back out now. I am still hoping that getting points for work experience is not the same as "work experience requirement", but that's probably a mistake. I also don't understand why it should be fine for FSW and not CEC...

Work experience gained while studying OUTSIDE OF CANADA

Yes you are explaining it correctly. I understand what are you saying. I just hope they would still count that work experience. Should I maybe try to switch my education from full-time to part-time?
