Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I would have sent a letter with the payment form with correct info and mailed anyways in addition to exploring other possibilities. Put DOB and Name of applicant and sponsor (whatever other detail that could help locate). Try email/phone/fax whichever way. Chances are slim so why not try...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

All I want is for my parents to stay with me without a timer hanging on our neck! I am ready to pay whatever it takes. My post was crystal clear, but I know you have hard time reading others post!

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I whole-heartedly disagree :)! I had no intention of spending additional 50K on a house to accommodate my parents settling down with us. With just that amount I could have paid for their insurance on Supervisa for 10 years or more. I love Supervisa, but every 2 years you revisit the pain. But...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

No one's a bully here or at least I don't believe that. We all have our opinion about the PGP program and how best can it be made fair both for folks who wants to get parents in as well as the economic burden if at all on the health care system. Believe it or not, no one here would want Canadian...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

No reason to believe that. It's highly likely that a huge percentage was received on Jan 4th. But if 5k were to be receive in less than 2 hour, I don't think they would have had to wait till Jan 7th to get to 14k. Good luck!

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Looks like you are completely out of touch. Super visa is popular and I for one am thankful for this option. What you are completely ignoring (purposefully or not) is the fact that it's not easy to ship in and ship out elderly even if it is once every two years. May be you should help petition...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Its best to avoid judging others motivation! I know of a person who doesn't want her husband to sponsor his parents since she fears that it would burden her family and may cause stress in her relationships. Skype is her answer too. So you see it cuts both ways!

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

The one problem that I have with this line of thought is to think one can sum up motivation into one single factor. Not everyone thinks as far in life with what happens when you immigrate to a different country and Rossie's is a good example. The reason why PGP is popular is because it ensures...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Based on simple math and data from 2015, it seems that between 100-200 applications are processed everyday. It's likely that less than 1000 have been processed so far.

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

My personal experience, as long as you have something (School Certificate etc) to cross reference the original Birth Certificate along with a letter explaining, it is accepted. This is what I did for my own PR application. I did the same for PGP this year. Don't see a reason why it won't be...

Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Isn't the address to send the package different for Canada Post versus Courier. Are we not jumping the gun here making predictions? Also, isn't PO boxes governed by Canada Post and not CPC-M. How can they work on the timing at two different location with two different set of processing rules...
