Hello guys, Just to let y'all know I collected my passport with visas and CPR yesterday. Now to the flight challenge!

Got pick-up mail earlier this evening. Will be initiating pick up AM tomorrow. Holding off on ticket purchase for a few more days. Not much else to report at this point. Cheers.

So, it's possible to initiate pick-up before receiving the pick-up mail?

LoL...Well, I was beginning to think, but thankfully! How long between your application approved and pick-up mail? So I can begin permutations on possible travel dates and explore ticket prices. Thanks.

Update on my CIC account today: Application Closed and Approved. Hoping to get pick-up mail soonest!!!!

Congrats, Abby. My passport got to AVO May 18th, but no update to my CIC profile and no pick-up mail yet. Why the heck is AVO picking on me?

Yes, they do need to stamp your passport, but that is usually at the point of actual exchange, i.e. when they're handing over the cash to you.

Sent my passport off on Monday 16th and it was received at Accra on Wednesday 18th May...no news since.

Lucky you, Abby. No update on status yet. Tickets are a nightmare right now, because of the Naira's rapid erosion of value.

Good to know you are making progress with getting a new visa issued, @XLS. Hopefully, you can come out of this with not much bruise than the lesson learnt. If I were you though, I would treat that account officer with more than the usual dose of suspicion going forward. For those waiting for...

Yeah...I think all of this is quite normal. Expect to get your pick-up mail in the next couple of days. I can infer that they batch process visas and issue to all in the batch. Got the invitation to the IOM session too.

Negative. Documents received in Accra since Wednesday 18th May. No update on profile since, and no email.

Hello, @Faxismile. How long did it take between sending passports to Accra and getting visa and COPR? Mine just got to Accra today, and I am trying to estimate how long I'd have to wait before initiating concrete travel plans. Thanks.

Something definitely wrong with the download links for cic. Keep getting this page asking to update my adobe pdf. Tried downloading on my phone, work PC, and personal computer, with the same result. If no change in family structure, I guess it's Ok to include a letter confirming same along...

Can anyone please give their two cents on how to handle the request for family information update via form IMM8. I can't seem to locate the form on the cic website. If you have filled the form in the past, can you please provide with a link to download. thanks.
