Yes it will be sent to you as an attachment but if you want the hard copy you will be advised to pick up from their office in Abuja personally or by proxy. No fee was charged officially but be ready to give awon boys money for pure water because dem go ask.

@ Teeboi: I only know for the G1 - we submitted our expired licenses, international passport and letter from FRSC to Ottawa and we got back a letter of authentication from them alongside our licenses. At the Brampton centre we were asked for the letter from Ottawa as well as unexpired drivers...

I would advise that you do all you can to collect the renewed license before you leave. My husband's temporary license was which extended to September (though handwritten and stamped behind it) was not accepted here. We are in Ontario, I don't know if other provinces are also like that.
