    Yes, I got the request for spouse renew passport. Requested was reach me after 2mon of status change. However, no change to the status even after doc submission.

    I see few of July applicants are still waiting to hear PPR request. How many people from Aug applicants are still left for PPR? I am hoping not to many. However, I am one of the Aug 11 AOR waiting for PPR.

    She can apply for Canada Visitor visa or Bridge permit or she can travel with you to USA on B2 visa if she has that.

    Yes, you need to have 6 months validity of PP at the time of final decision. Hence, it is better and to prevent delay in application process it is better to have one or more than a year validity at the time of application submission.

    I got update on Nov 26th when the background check updated to "Not needed at this time", this was the recent most update.

    I am in same boat as you My background check went to Not Needed at this time from in-progress. It stated in-progress almost three months. On Nov 30th it changed to Not need at this time. I suspect this status change is because of file transfer within two portfolios/immigration officers...
