Is the OP talking about the card, or about the visa sticker on the passport? I believe the visa sticker is tied to the validity date of the medicals, and one must do their landing before the expiry date mentioned on the sticker. The validity of the PR card is 5 years however.

A separate section appeared on ecas a few days ago showing the status of the PR card with the steps 'processing began on....' etc the same way it showed for the original application, and today that section disappeared entirely from the home page on ecas. Anyone had the same thing happen before?

We ordered a few original copies so we had an extra one to send, but as others stated, it's best to send the original as it is what is requested.

I second the opinion above. In our case my wife had a TRV and fortunately her PR application went smoothly without any issues, but that's not a guarantee in every case.

What do the country specific guidelines request for? I believe some request originals and others say photocopy, and others want a notarized/certified copy etc.

Not sure about the answer to the second question, but for question 1, yes that amount includes the RPRF.

Does Condition 51 absolutely apply to anyone who falls within the criteria? Or is it more case-to-case? As in if your application overall is very strong, they might say there's no need to apply the condition?

Thanks for your reply! They gave us an option that was explained in the accompanying letter to book an appointment at an IRCC office for what I suppose would be the 'landing' since my wife is in Canada at the moment. The CoPR mentions FC class I which I assume is family class and the visa...

After nine months minus one day, we have finally received my wife's CoPR and PR visa. Thank you to everyone on this forum for all your help - looking back I don't think I would have been able to figure out the application package without asking a million questions which I was sure to do on this...

We sent my wife's passport to Ottawa almost 2 weeks ago, so we're just waiting for it to come back now.
