Oh okay, I thought until application is sent to visa office, we all were in "one bowl". Maybe they think "these people are IN already. Let's make sure buddies who are not IN yet, get IN as soon as possible" and process outlands first :D

We are also about to send our application to CIC. We handwrote the parts in Schedule A that are too big to fit in the box . The hardest one was to fit "Certificate of General Secondary Education" in that small box :D

as far as I know, degree is not required. Since your employer decided to hire you, you could show them somehow that you have required skills, right? Maybe you have previous experience, or you showed them your portfolio, or whatever. Same thing will work for CIC. Your employer and CIC will...
