If it makes you feel better, there is a guy who posted today in the NDVO thread for whom the BG never went to IP. Who know you too may get that kind of double promotion !!!

That is fairly quick. After you send back the signed copies, it should be done within couple of days

There is no criteria per se Mikasingh. Your BG should go to IP in a day or two and PPR in another day or two....My family size is 4, if it helps you in anyway :)))

Congratulations !!! Regarding your questions, I have seen few posts from visa exempt countries saying about seeing a new provision in myCIC to upload fresh copies of passport. Not sure why you did not see any.....Now that you have mailed them, hope there is nothing to worry. Good luck...
