work permit expiring soon - help!

She has PGWP. Let me ask another question: if she applies outland in June after she gets married, can she continue to work until the work permit expires at the end of August and then just stay as a visitor?

work permit expiring soon - help!

We were hoping to find a solution that doesn't now involve her quitting her job. That doesn't sound too promising:(

I hope you guys can help me. I've received a ton of guidance when I was completing our family based application. Now, I'm trying to help a friend. My friend from Brazil has been in Canada for about 3 years. She went to school here and is currently working. She is getting married to a Canadian...

Work permit expiring - trying to help a friend

From what I understand, she didn't apply for PR. She will apply under family category, after they get married. She only had study/work permit. She went to school (finished last year) and has a job. She'd like to keep working pending her family based PR application.

    Decision made!

Woohoo! I'm so excited! There is a light at the end of the tunnel, you guys! :D I only checked the application status 2-3 times a month and I visited the forum occasionally because it felt like if I go on with my life, it will happen faster. Realistically, I expected something in July or...

I've been checking our application status every couple of weeks and today BOOM! DECISION MADE. I'm so happy you guys!!! I don't know when the status changed. We didn't get any email or letter. Anyone knows what the procedure is? I.e. when can we expect an official confirmation?

DECEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Anybody knows how long it takes from the date they started reviewing the application? It says they started reviewing our application on March 29. I saw that several November applicants landed already.

Is it okay to have your mailing address different than your residential address?

I think it was December 3 or 4 and I got it back 2 weeks later. I worked my butt off to re-do it and managed to send it right before Christmas. It was received December 21. I am still nervous that they may send it back (call me paranoid!). I should have received my AOR on Thursday and didn't get...

Is it okay to have your mailing address different than your residential address?

Tell me about it! I was devastated when I received the application back. I sent it nicely organized, with clips and tabs. I got a pile of loose papers back, not even in order. I was SO mad and bitter about it. I got over it though and now I'm just patiently waiting. I should have gotten the AOR...

Is it okay to have your mailing address different than your residential address?

I wish I had an answer to that too. It looks like it depends on the officer. Having worked at a governmental institution for 5 years, I am not in the least surprised. You have NO idea what's going on there...haha

Is it okay to have your mailing address different than your residential address?

That may have been the case. Obviously, I'll never find out. It's not like I provided some random address though. It was the sponsor's address (mine). If they needed me to be a representative (why? doesn't make any sense), they should have clarified it in the guideline. The guideline is SO...

Is it okay to have your mailing address different than your residential address?

That wasn't the case in our application. We put my husband's American address as his residential address on every single form (current address, list of addresses in the past years etc). The only place we put my Canadian address was the line with mailing address. In several places (relationship...

Is it okay to have your mailing address different than your residential address?

I can only speak from my personal experience. My husband (American) had a primary residence in the US (i.e. property he owned and had lived in) which we listed as his residential address - since that's what it technically was. However for several years, he had been spending the majority of his...
