Oath Letter received 3/29/19 via email for Oath Ceremony on April 18, 2019. Unfortunately I need to postpone as I'll be out of the country. Anybody else postpone? If so can you describe the process? I sent an email as instructed and received an automated acknowledgement of receipt. Will I hear...

Hi everyone. June 2018 applicant here. I passed my test on December 3, 2018 and got DM on December 8, 2018. I am still waiting for my Oath Letter. June 2018 - Citizenship Applications

"Decision Made" today Saturday, December 8th. I checked yesterday and it was still "In Process" so either the system updates overnight or CIC works Saturdays. Line 21 Took the test in Montreal on Monday. The officer said 3-4 months to Oath Ceremony. The spreadsheets suggest it'll be faster.

Question 10b - Were you in another country for a total of 183 days?

Does anyone know how to treat partial days as it relates to this question? The Physical Presence Calculator very clearly counts the day one leaves and the day one arrives in Canada as a day in Canada for Physical Presence Purposes. Question 10b is phrased a little difference ass it asks were you...

    Waiting for PR CARD - 2015 / 2016

Question regarding the pictures.... The only pictures I ever sent CIC were in August 2015 with my original application. I've now landed. It seems from what I'm reading that I should expect to get a request for new pictures - since the only pictures they have are from August and presumably before...

    Waiting for PR CARD - 2015 / 2016

I just landed the other day so I'm just getting immersed in this PR Card stuff so bear with me... The CIC website says 39 days is the wait time currently. However it seems that most people are waiting 100+ days. Is the website just wrong or has the wait recently declined from 100+ to 39?

Personal Effects - switching from temporary resident to permanent resident

Landed today... No problems.... I listed on Form B4 (in very general terms) the items I had brought into Canada as a temporary resident four years ago. The officer was fine with everything. Pretty sure he would have been fine if I had listed nothing on Form B4 and mentioned that I brought...

Personal Effects - switching from temporary resident to permanent resident

Thanks. I called CBSA as Spyfy suggested. Easy to get through, very nice guy. He said for me to bring all the paperwork from when I entered as a temporary resident and explain what is happening. He made it sound like there will be no issues at all. Almost made me feel like I'm making things more...

I called US Export Control at the Champlain border (New York/Quebec) yesterday. The officer, who was very helpful, told me that there is no 72-hour rule for the car.... I asked him again very clearly and he said something like "You live in Canada, your car is in Canada, why would we need your...
