May be....because you had only two months left on your kid's passport. BTW - when did you apply for PR? I am expecting PR anytime now and they haven't askd for renewed passport yet for my daughter.

Does anyone know if there's anything like one's passport must have 6 months validity in order to get immigrant visa? My daughter's passport is expiring May 1st, 2017. If i calculate, i only have 9 days from now to get it renewed, if there's anything like this exist.

Called CIC y'day. Was really lucky to come across some nice lady after months. she confirmed that everything including security and stuff has been finalized. They just need to print the final letter and send across. WTH! not sure what're they waiting for to send over the PPR.

I would suggest that do ur landing first and than go to your home country. You don't need to wait for PR card. Upon your landing, you can get a letter issued from the border (i guess) and you can use that letter to enter canada. I think this will be the safest way to be double sure of being PR...
