Thanks for your input! I was checking with RKCK because s/he mentioned that you need to have a passport with >12-month validity earlier: It sounded reasonable enough, so I wanted to check if being close to the 12-month validity mark would be an issue.

Yes, my wife's passport expires on September 25, 2017. So we're very close to being within 12 months of validity, which you had mentioned earlier to be an issue.

Thank you for the response! According to the Indian Passport website: "You can not renew the passport more than one year before the expiration date of your current passport." This would mean that we have to wait till September 26, 2016 to start the renewal process. We plan to land in Canada...

Hi RKCK, My wife's passport expires next September and given that I just crossed the 180-day mark, we're hoping we should get the PPR and stamping done this month. Will there be any issues since we're so close to the 12-month validity clause?

I can answer question #1: I've ordered GCMS Notes twice so far directly from the ATIP website and on both occasions I received the notes exactly on the morning (EST) of the 30th day. So you should wait.

Tell me about it. I am Feb 1st AOR and there's not even a hint of movement. Everything has been put on hold based on the 6-month timeline, but now that I just hit the 5-month mark, I'm beginning to get a tad despondent.

Thanks for the information. I've ordered a second set post the 4-month mark, so let's see if it reveals anything new. BTW, has anyone's application crossed the 6-month waiting period and what's the recourse then? Raise a CSE?

Thanks! Unlike some other applicants here, my delta between AOR and Medicals Passed wasn't significant -- so I hope there has been some movement on my application. It's been over 4-months whichever way you calculate -- fingers crossed! :(

Thanks for that insight, Riasat. I've ordered one more set of GCMS notes around 4.5 months mark -- hopefully that should shed more light on where my application is at.

Thanks for the response. I can't find it, so it is likely that the A11.2 assessment hasn't started yet. But is it normal for it to have not started even after 3 months of AOR? (My GCMS was requested 3 months after AOR)
