Hi, I am new Permanent Resident and will be landing as a PR next month. I have Gold jewellery I may want to bring into Canada. If these are worth more than 10000 a peice do I have to pay any duties or taxes on these?

What is the status of the tracker on which you sent the Passports? Did you get the signature required option?

To my knowledge, CPC Ottawa is yet to dispatch the passports. The labour disruption message you are seeing on the canada post tracker is a virtual update. This means Canada Post still doesn't have the passports from CPC ottawa. When they (canada post) get the package they update the tracker with...

No updates yet. My return tracker says delivery may be delayed due to labor disruption, and has no additional information. Can't conclude whether they have dispatched or not. No updates online as well.

Folks, how much time do we get to complete the landing procedure? In other words, what will be the validity of the visa issued? I am assuming it is not advisable to travel when you're midway between landing and PR card.

People with AOR in June have now received their passport request mails. The best way for you to figure out what's happening with your file is to order GCMS notes. Of course you may want keep trying to call them as well.
