Added on to the monitoring means you mentioned, the test can also simply be done orally instead. Thank you for sharing this. To be honest, in my opinion, having a virtual ceremony in which citizenship officers AND a judge are present, does not disobey any of the points mentioned. A ceremony can have different definitions depending on the context.

Who said that the ceremonies are hard to change by law? Which law is that?

I think there's a good chance that these calls could've been scams. In my own experience with IRCC, they usually don't make phone calls to applicants and rather tend to reach out via email, accompanied by an update on the online status webpage. Those individuals who posted here about receiving...
