    Child Tax Benefits...Application

You can file back taxes. Ideally, you should too. You would start getting Benefits only when spouse and children are in Canada. You cannot wish when to start receiving it. From people who've applied, they tell be takes about 2-3 months after application for it to begin ( if all docs are in...

    Divorce and marriage after pr

It would be tough for you and CIC would smell something fishy. Unfortunately the better way is for him to divorce now, and marry you and a fresh application.

Driving License Extract (from India) Query?

I have realised you do not need a DL Extract if you want just 12 months of Experience. If you can get an extract of more than 2 years, then you can directly go for your G (after G1). Insurance is the only real difference, but that depends on a lot of factors. Don't fret if your DL is in English...

    1st PR Card Status

Don't worry about your PR Cards. They will reach you at the address you've provided, until and unless there is an issue with the Photo. I tend to see a lot of photo rejections for reasons that cannot be fathomed. But eventually you will get them. Don't worry about the same.

Using Public Transport - GTA (Greater Toronto Area)

It's been a long time since I contributed to this thread, so here goes one; which I hope would help potential immigrants to Toronto. The printed POF is perfectly fine. You don't need anything. Anything that you do take apart from the POF's is completely your choice.

This should not matter at all. If you travel before filling the ITA then mention the same in the application. If later, then you don't need to declare the same.

    Proof of Funds (Express Entry)

James, I completely understand the funds are yours. But according to the official documents - they are not - your Mother is the first holder. So, if you can get that changed, it is perfectly fine. Else, you might have some issues with showing it as POF.

    Proof of Funds (Express Entry)

No one else needs to be the fund holder other than you and your dependents. In your case your Mom is the first holder - not sure how CIC will see this and it opens up to a lot of interpretations. Essentially the fund belongs to your Mom and not you.
