Try to know who is the MP in your area who is dealing with your MP´s stuff. MPs wont help you if they are not your MP or they are helping your MPs in the time...

    Update: Today I contacted the nearest MP office to my place, and they sent me a consent letter to allow them to claim CIC on my behalf. They know about the unfair situation we are suffering.

    Agree about call CIC, it is a waste of time. But, Today in the office of a MP in Calgary I asked how long it taies to set up an office for new MPs. They told me around 2 months. I encourage you to go to the nearest established MP. Good luck everybody!

    I am alreayd working with sin number until april, but HR of my company has started to be concerned. Just this morning I have been asked again about my work permit. I am going to ask for help to my MP, or the MP who wants/can help me right now. I will tell you my experience, btw, i am in Calgary.

    An Update: Applied May 7, paid 155 Extra 100 paid in August 24, as requested September 26, I called CIC, they checked my aplication, they told me everything is ok, they would send an email to CIC to make a decission ASAP. November 2, I called CIC again, they didnt want to check my aplication...

    Guille, I called CIC and they told me that while we are waiting for PGWP and since we have valid study permit we can travel outside and come back to Canada, bring the study permit with you. Btw,I would like to have an answer to question 1 too!!! Salud!
