APRIL 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

What kind of things did you mention in the application for your wife's ties to her home country? It sounds like they were suspicious that she would end up trying to use the OWP as a way to stay permanently. I think the lack of funds part sounds kind of odd, since it seems like you would make...

APRIL 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

So you're not a Canadian PR or citizen and you're trying to get your spouse on an OWP? If so, you're in the wrong subforum. This is a subforum for family class spousal applicants for Permanent Residence.

Of course not sending the RPRF at the start of the application has the chance of a delay at any point in the process, especially if it is sent later without a UCI or File Number. It is possible to send the RPRF with a file number after AOR, so sending before SA should be possible. Of course you...

Oh! I had forgotten about that. I'm really curious how that's going to turn out.

No problem ;D. It's the same amount across the board. $490 is the correct amount. Just to let you know, you also have the option of waiting until later to submit it, but you can always submit it before they ask. Sending in the RPRF will absolutely not delay your application, because they will...

The medical exam is required no matter what (for the principal applicant). CPC-M is the right place to mail the application. If your application was returned, that's because a file was missing or a signature was missing. The address is in the application guide...

APRIL 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Yeah, I just saw that ;D. I know it's silly, but it did kind of finally get to me. Oh, when are you due for your next set of notes? Or did you just get another batch?

Assuming you applied outland, you will first get AOR (official receipt of your application), which can really take anywhere from the time they receive your application til before SA, but a lot of people have received theirs around day 20-30. Some people never get one though. This will give you...

APRIL 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Alright :). I had applied for a job in a grocery store as a regular employee in a department, and was asked if I was interested in becoming the department manager. The person hiring me sounded like she wanted me to start as that right away, but I haven't worked in that position for over a year...

Again and Again Landing Toronto Question

I'm not saying it's guaranteed to happen, I said if anything. I apologize if I was not clear that this isn't normal. I only meant to say that it does happen to some people from time to time, since you asked what could happen. I was also trying to clarify that this isn't related to the processing...

JUNE 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICATIONS

On the "Application for Permanent Residence" side, it'll say "in process" and when you click on it for details it will eventually say (not right away) "we started processing your application on...".

The first thing they will get is an AOR, aka an official receipt of your application with the sponsor's UCI + the overall file number, then AIP (approval in principal, this is where the sponsor is approved and they've looked at the eligibility of the person being sponsored, but everything else...

Not able to view now cic spouse status online

You can send a Case Specific Enquiry to let them know you can't access your eCAS (reporting a technical issue): https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx I wouldn't worry too much. This happens and eCAS is fairly unreliable for some people anyways. You can...

Your friend should get the OWP after 4-5 months and that's the next step in terms of the OWP. She doesn't need an employment offer for the pilot OWP program that goes with the inland application.

APRIL 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

The "you have to wait 3 months" thing is either a lie or misinformation. I was told the same thing and didn't have any issues calling a couple weeks later. Things can change in 2 weeks, so I would recommend calling again.

Have you tried calling the CIC call center? 1-888-242-2100 Press 2>1>1>0 going through the menu to get to a representative. Sometimes they take a while to send out correspondence after actually approving the sponsor, so it's possible that you have been approved without receiving correspondence yet.

APRIL 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Awesome ;D. Congratulations! And yes, Ottawa processes applications much faster than LVO. I would estimate that it won't take your application longer than 3 more months, and it probably won't take that long. Edit: I edited out my own news, because within the last day I have received three...
