Your PR card may expire but your status as a PR does not. You can get your PR card renewed if you have need to travel soon.

Update on mine. Not sure it matters but both the new tracker and ECAS changed status to complete today, acknowledging i became Canadian on June 25th. Must mean my certificate is on its way!

No, a travel document is something issued to you so you can travel in lieu of a passport. Usually issued to refugees or stateless people. For example, Canada issues either the refugee travel document and the certificate of identity. A work permit is not a travel document.

I guess it’s different for the Ottawa IRCC. The Scarborough IRCC assigns you an individual agent for the oath. I also did not have an interview
