BLS at ottawa didnt take my surrender application and OCI application together. They asked me to submit passport surrender application and apply for OCI after receiving the surrender certificate. I ended up submitting only one. Will have to wait for now.

That was my assumption too. But, when i spoke to them they refused to take my OCI application and wanted me to wait until i get the passport surrender certificate. May be the agent was unaware of it.

Hi @rajkamalmohanram, Did you submit your passport surrender and OCI together? BLS told me i cant submit together and the application for OCI need to wait until the passport surrender request is processed.

I got the details around noon on the day before the oath.

Received our citizenship certificates today!

Got the details on e-mail (day before the oath). Probably 40 days after Decision made.

I got the oath procedure details this afternoon.

Did you get the all the details (web conference links and the procedure etc., ) on the e-mail? Mine is scheduled for Wednesday and haven’t seen any yet.

Lol. I called them two weeks back about the pr card renewal application I submitted 3 months ago. I am not sure if that had anything to do.

Today's update, new portal shows oath scheduled for September 08, 2021. Haven’t received any details on the email yet

Ottawa application, Citizenship Ceremony advanced to In Progress in the new portal. Date not scheduled though. I am hoping the date would be set soon.

ecas changed to Decision Made on Jul 28.

CIC is such a joke. Looks like they dont even bother reading the question sent on the web form. They always give the same message. I had a pending request from them on police clearance and the 30 day period was expiring soon. I asked them on how to extend it to another 30 days and the response...

Any movement on the applications at Ottawa office? We haven't seen the status changed to Decision Made yet. Gave our test in March 2020. Getting the usual response from CIC which isn't too helpful in reality.

Double check with IRCC call center about the call. The case should have notes on all outgoing calls. We got a call early this week claimed / visible as IRCC contact center , but it was a phishing call. We are all anxious to get over this process but please make sure your personal information is...
