Renewing PR Card with COVID19/Quarantine Reqs

Hi primaprime, thanks for all the input. What do you mean be reported? We were considering to go to Canada, do a quarantine, apply for the PR card before the existing one expires (and return to US to resume work). We're planning to permanently return to Canada first semester of next year...

    February 2018 - Citizenship Applicant

Your name needs to be in the system, they ask you to allow 48 hrs to give them enough time. If you're name is not in the system they can't process the passport application, so you wasted your time. That being said, I've read many cases in this forum where they applied for the passport within 24...

Change in Mobile Number During Citizenship Process

Send the update via Webform. I believe the ecas only change home address and mailing address. I never once got a phone call from the IRCC, but it doesn't hurt to update.

Well, that's good news, at least you know there's nothing wrong and it's just a matter of a few more weeks. We need to be extra patient, they received a huge influx of applications, it's no surprise they have a back log...

Worried....Passed Citizenship Test, but Interview didn't feel like it went well.

I'm going to agree frange, very likely your application was already closed. I would say to contact them to have better understanding, but be prepared to re-start your citizenship application form from zero.

Worried....Passed Citizenship Test, but Interview didn't feel like it went well.

OK so analyzing this very objectively - Best case scenario - nothing will happen, your application will go through without a problem. Somewhere in between - they might ask you for additional information... which in your case is hard to say, that would delay your process in a few months but...

I'm not aware of any way... you can try Web form or call center, but it's only helpful if you're close to your 12 months period or after.

Well, they might be able to prove all your entry/exits without a FOIA, I think it's unlikely they will request a new document at the time of the interview, but if you want to have it I don't think it's going to hurt, worst case scenario it's just useless.

    Oath ceremony delay Scarborough

The Scarborough office is going very slow, they are probably over their heads with more applications than the officers to process. So there's not much you can do apart from what you already did... I would follow up again after the 18th. I'm a Feb 2018 applicant, had my test and decision made...

Sounds about right to contact... I would wait another 2 weeks so you're closer to the 12 months period.

    Scarborough -DM-Oath

What do you have showing on your ECAS? When did you file your application? Usually contacting CIC too early doesn't really do anything, you can get better results by contacting them either close to your 12 months period or after.

Man I've been hovering this forum for a while and I've seen all cases! It tends to be first-come-first-serve but it is not always the case, some things might delay: - Different offices have different timelines... Scarbs seems to be one of the slowest! Meanwhile in Surrey BC seems to be one of...
