    June 2022 - Citizenship Applicants

For those that have had their ceremony, is there any way to tell if its virtual or in person from the tracker update? I have a trip booked 3 weeks after my ceremony and if its virtual I'm concerned it won't be enough time to get the certificate and passport before I leave. EDIT: I'm still...

    New Sponsorship Package Information Share

I did see that, but that still doesn't help with providing proof for the question "Are you and your common law partner currently living together?" Provide a lease/ proof of property ownership, proof of joint utilities and important documents showing the same address. You need to provide 2 out of...

I have to agree with you on that one, we would have had trouble meeting those requirements as well.

Help on proof of relationship common law

You can use any mail delivered to both of you at the same address. Do you both have cell phones? Are the cell phone bills sent to both of you at the house? Do you have the same address on your drivers licences? Are your tax returns sent to the house? What address does your employer have on file...

Currently on IEC, Applying for Sponsored PR and OWP, Do I have to apply to stay?

You should definitely apply outland, we applied common law in Aug last year and I landed as a PR on March 3rd. It took exactly 7 months from the day we mailed everything to the day I landed and I think our app was one of the slower ones. Sydney is a fast VO :)

Soon to expire IEC - Inland sponsorship - implied status??

I had 2 CIC call centre agents inform me that if I left Canada and returned the day after my IEC permit expired I would not have any trouble being allowed back into the country. This couldn't have been further from the truth, I was pulled into secondary and was lucky not to be turned away. CIC...

    Ottawa PPR

Yeah I noticed that too when I was waiting for my COPR and wanted an estimate on the wait time, couldn't find any info. It was just Easter so the 2 public holidays probably didn't help, hopefully it leaves Ottawa this week :) I think the one (and only) advantage to getting the PPR is that by...

They send it back in the Xpress envelope you provide. Ours took 10 days from the day went sent it to getting the COPR and we're in Alberta.

    Landing while living in Canada

Congrats on getting your COPR! :) I landed with a small carry on suitcase and was not questioned about it, they did ask about goods to follow but I only have a handful of things to bring back next time I visit Aus so I never declared any. I also didn't declare things I had already brought with...

    I'm new to this

I agree with all of the above posts, apply outland. We applied outland in Aug 2015 and had a decision by mid Feb, from the date we mailed our application in to the day I landed and became a PR was exactly 7 months and there have been many Aus applicants who got their PR faster.

I think it's eligibility, I found a definition on their site but it related to other programs not family class..

Some interesting data if you have ever wondered the backlog of applications at your visa office. Its the latest data set to be released but is still a little old (Oct 2015). Family class data is in columns AN AO and AP...

At panel physician, major problem please help

Have to agree with that, it sounds like a scam. Are optometrist appointments even covered by provincial health care? I know glasses and contacts aren't so even if you were blind as a bat and had coke bottle lenses its your financial responsibility not the governments, so that alone couldn't make...

    Unsigned support letters?

Its written on the country specific checklist, at least it is on the Australian one (IMM3906): I'm not sure about inland, but for our application it was definitely a requirement.

Thanks, we figured it would be longer because we mailed it but didn't really have a choice - no registry locations close to us ::) hopefully it comes soon!
