Hi, I am an Indian citizen, got my ICT work permit and landed in Toronto in Nov from US. My Passport is going to expire in Aug 2016. however, my Work permit is provided till the 2017 Oct. I am planning to renew my passport. do i need to get a new work permit again? Thanks Saipavan

my guess is you are applying for ICT, Your spouse can apply for a open Work Permit and stay with you as long as you have the WP approved.

I haven't submitted through VAC. I've submitted all the applications online on CIC. Date applied: May 20th Passport Request for my son Open Study Permit: June 18th Passport received to VAC LA: July 1st Confirmation update on CIC Website: July 7th. Waiting for my sons passport to be back from LA

All canadian citizens can travel to US for a short period, all they need is Canadian passport. Hope this helps.
